Day 100 Edinburgh Show
What a jam packed summer!
The #100daysprojectscotland #dailycount, my own #islas100lilies project, additional 100 shadows project (not currently online), along with work and of course a good amount of play, have all kept me very busy - so there have been fewer blog posts than I had planned.
I have been very pleased to see so many posts using the #100daysprojectscotland tag - over 1500 at the last count. It has been joyful to see such a variety of projects on the go; to name only a few there are faces on wooden spoons, drawings of cats, birds, dragons, and dinosaurs, images built around crisp-packet triangles, animated delights, blue skies, photographs of circlular forms, and a Flexicon (a collection of new words) being added to daily, many of which I am trying to bring into my everyday conversations.
As mentioned at the start of this project, there will be a show in the TENT gallery in Edinburgh College of Art, part of Edinburgh University, to celebrate the work we have all been doing on this 100 day journey. The show is a celebration, a chance to share our experiences, and to give us the space to stand back and look at all that creativity we have tapped into over the 100 day project.
I have been working away in the background on the show and can now confirm that the show will open on August 31st - Day 110! The space is booked and all it needs is your work to fill it!
As you will see when you explore the 2018 Show section, I am delighted to tell you all that we will be getting the space scanned by a team of very clever people, who then turn these scans into a walkthrough video and a navigable 360 degree model, allowing anyone to explore the show online. More details of this will come in a future blog, and direct messages to participants in the show - so watch this space!
Please get in touch and let me know if you would like to be a part of the show. After completing the form in 2018 Show, I will be able to send you details.
